Arrests made in Scranton stabbing

Two Scranton residents are facing charges related to the stabbing of another man on July 7, resulting in injuries so severe they sent him to the hospital in critical condition.

Jesus Joel Matias Marrero, 40, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault and related charges.

Bobbi Pinko, 52, is charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault.

According to police, Nicholas Gursky was stabbed multiple times in the neck in the 700 block of Capouse Avenue.

Marrerro and Pinko remain in Lackawanna County Prison, according to court records.

Marrero was denied bail. Pinko’s bail is set at $75,000.

Both have preliminary hearings set for July 22 before District Judge Joanne Corbett.
