Lackawanna County

Home-based business event: Electric City Trolley Museum, 300 Cliff St., Scranton, will host four local home-based businesses on First Friday from 5-8:30 p.m.; free event. A $5 trolley ride will be offered at 4 p.m. This event will give these home-based businesses an opportunity to promote the products or services they provide, including confections, repurposed clothing, embroidery,  textiles and healing jewelry plus a new business offering residential organization of closets, garages, etc., and assembly of furniture and TV setup. Theater productions: The Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre’s fourth annual Weekend of One-Act Plays, featuring original works by five area playwrights, performed for the first time by local directors and actors, Aug. 8 and 9, 8 p.m., and Aug. 10, 3 p.m., general admission tickets, $15, at the door.
