Dickson City
Banner applications: Dickson City Hometown Hero Banner applications are available at the borough office, 901 Enterprise St. This program, run by the Dickson City Light and Decorative Banner Association, honors current and former military residents. Banners are displayed for three years with an option to renew. New banners cost $300, and applications are due by Sept. 1. The association will contact current sponsors about renewals for those whose participation ends in 2025. Renewals, which last three years, cost $150. Replacement banners are $145, with a renewal deadline of Sept. 1.

Theatrical show: The Arc of NEPA presents “A Willy Wonka Flavored Theatrical Extravaganza” June 19 at 7 p.m. at Lackawanna College. The Arc of NEPA Auxiliary raises awareness through educating the community on the many abilities of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Admission is free.

Community resource fairs: Johnson College will host two free community resource fairs on its Scranton campus, June 10 and Aug. 12, 6-7 p.m., inside the Moffat Student Center Gym, 3427 N. Main Ave., Scranton. These events are open to the public and are designed to connect current and prospective college students with local resources and support services. The fairs will feature a variety of community organizations offering guidance and assistance on topics such as education, employment, health and wellness.
