JESSUP — Officials will hold Wednesday the second and final public meeting on the potential development of an all-terrain vehicle park in Lackawanna County, with the session running from 6-7 p.m. at the county 911 Center, 30 Valley View Drive, Jessup.
The public meeting is part of an ATV park feasibility study funded by a state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources grant. A prior public input session on the potential ATV park project took place at the 911 Center in March 2024.
Topics for Wednesday’s session will include potential locations for such a development, which would add another outdoor recreation option to the local landscape and help communities keep ATVs off public streets, advocates contend. An economic analysis of the project and potential ownership models will also be discussed.
