OLD FORGE — A grand opening for Mondano — a restaurant serving contemporary global cuisine — will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday in the borough, owner Dominic Saadi said in a news release.
The restaurant — which officially opened in late November and began serving alcohol around December — hosted an event in the banquet hall for the first time in April, Saadi said.
Mondano, 112 S. Main St., hosts a Lebanese dinner on the first Sunday of each month from 1 to 5 p.m., he said. Additionally, the restaurant hosts a five-course, plant-based international tasting on the last Monday of each month.
Mondano entered into a partnership with Grovedale Winery of Wyalusing, allowing patrons to purchase wines by the glass, by the bottle, and even by the case, Saadi said. The restaurant also sources most of its fresh ingredients from local farmers in Northeast and Central Pennsylvania, he said.
