Over the next few weeks, The Times-Tribune is honored to present the profiles of each member of the Scholastic Superstars Class of 2025. These outstanding students were nominated by their schools and chosen by a panel of local officials.
Ivy Neureuter, Scranton High School
Q: What accomplishments are you most proud of and why?
A: I am proud that I focused on what I wanted to do throughout high school without getting pressured into fitting in. I worked hard and was able to rank in the top 10 students of the class.
Q: What were your most rewarding school or community activities?
A: The Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science introduced me to STEM fields and presentation skills, and Tomorrow’s Leaders Today taught me the importance of leadership and community service.

Q: What is something you do to relax?
A: I play video games, go to the gym and watch sports.
Q: Plans after high school graduation?
A: Penn State University, for the 2 + 2 actuarial science program.
Q: Who do you most admire and why?
A: I admire my parents the most. They make sure I am prepared for the future and push me to be better. I have learned the importance of work ethic from watching them work long hours to provide for my sister and I.
Q: What advice do you have for younger students?
A: Work hard and set goals for yourself. Hold yourself to a high standard now so you are prepared to succeed later.
