This year, 10 North Pocono students earned awards on the Medusa Mythology Exam, an international competition for mythology enthusiasts. The 2025 exam theme was “Charting a Heroic Course.” Grace Beckish earned a summa cum laude gold medal. Roman Ritter earned a maxima cum laude silver medal. Elizabeth Clark, Jared Johnson and Julia Kennedy earned magna cum laude ribbons. Mary Clark, Emiline Black, Abby Havenstrite, Liberty Owen and Kate Cikota earned cum laude certificates of merit. Anthony Duchnowski, Latin teacher and “Dead Language Society” adviser, congratulated the award winners and commended the efforts of all the students who took the test.
