Luzerne County Manager Romilda Crocamo announced a new band lineup for Friday’s free Rockin’ the River concert at the River Common’s Millennium Circle along the Susquehanna River in Wilkes-Barre.
The show will feature two acts: Back In Black: A Tribute to AC/DC and Bat Out of Hell: A Tribute to Meatloaf. Gates open at 5 p.m. and music starts at 6 p.m.
“We are keeping our eye on the forecast,” Crocamo said in a news release. “If things look good on Friday, we are ready to go with the final Rockin’ The River show of 2025. For the past six weeks, we’ve heard from many people that were excited about the AC/DC tribute, and though we did change bands, we are happy to be bringing in another AC/DC act that is looking forward to rocking the river. And in addition to the live music, don’t miss your chance to visit the dunking booth, where I, along with several county council members, will be taking the hot seat! It’s all in good fun, and all proceeds from the dunking booth will benefit Hylee, Luzerne County Sheriff’s explosive sniffing canine. Come show your support for this vital program while enjoying a night of great entertainment.”
