A pickup crashed into a bank in South Scranton on Tuesday morning.

The vehicle hit the Penn East Federal Credit Union building in the 700 block of Davis Street, Assistant Fire Chief Bob Zoltewicz said. No one in the vehicle or bank was hurt, he said.

Scranton police and firefighters and emergency medical services technicians from Pennsylvania Ambulance arrived at about 10 a.m. and were on the scene for an hour, Zoltewicz said. The pickup was towed.

Officials at the bank, headquartered in Dickson City, said in a Facebook post Tuesday the branch was temporarily closed “due to unforeseen circumstances.”
