SCRANTON — Police were investigating Sunday night in the 800 block of East Locust Street in South Side, where a stabbing had been reported.
Emergency communications dispatched police at 7:24 p.m. to 810 East Locust St. for a report of a female victim stabbed in the chest. It was initially unclear if a suspect was still on the scene. A victim taken to a hospital was termed as emergent.
Then at 8:06, authorities issued an alert for area law enforcement to be on the lookout for a man who had fled on foot from 810 East Locust St.
Around 8:30, police were still on scene and the house and yard area were cordoned off with yellow police tape.
