A vehicle crashed into the front of the Starbucks in South Abington Twp. on Wednesday afternoon, damaging the front of the coffee shop.
Virginia Robbins, 75, of Jamesville, N.Y. was parking a 2025 Honda CRV hybrid in front of the building on Northern Boulevard just after 1:30 p.m., Police Chief Paul Wolfe said. When she went to hit the brake, her foot accidentally hit the accelerator, causing the vehicle to hit the glass windows, he continued.
Neither Robbins, the passenger in her vehicle, Robert Van Glick, 76, or any of the customers or employees in the store were injured, Wolfe said. However, he said the shop sustained “a decent amount of damage” and was closed.

Yellow caution tape surrounded the damaged building late Wednesday afternoon. Multiple motorists pulled into the store’s parking lot and pulled away.
The two people told police they were travelling from Syracuse, N.Y., to New York City and stopped at the store before heading on the next leg of their trip.
Wolfe said Robbins was able to drive the vehicle away after the crash.
Township police are investigating the crash, he said.
