Each year around the holidays, Brooke Chapman’s Daycare in South Canaan chooses a local organization to donate to. This past year, they chose Keystone Rescue Mission in Scranton. Together, they collected items to make 96 hygiene bags. They included deodorant, razors, brushes, soaps, toothpaste and toothbrushes, hair ties, shampoo and conditioners, mouthwash, hand warmers, nail clippers and a warm blanket donated by one of its day care family businesses, Pleasant Mount Welding. Staff members said they are thankful to help children at the day care learn about giving back and that even though they are small they can do big things in the community.
