Lackawanna County Library System

The Administrative Offices of the Lackawanna County Library System are located on the second floor of the Lackawanna County Children’s Library.  Cooperating with a wide variety of community organizations, allows library members to receive discounted admission to cultural events, visit specialized archival and museum collections, and access specialized historical, legal, and medical collections through the Library Catalog.

The Lackawanna County Library System maintains an ongoing partnership with the Everhart Museum, the Lackawanna Historical Society, the Commonwealth Medical College Library, and the Lackawanna County Law Library to provide access to their special library collections. The library collections of these four institutions are searchable in the Lackawanna County Library System Catalog.

LCLS patrons with a valid library card may borrow material from the Commonwealth Medical College Library by placing holds in the catalog with pickup at any LCLS library, or by visiting the Commonwealth Medical College Library.

LCLS patrons with a valid library card have access to the libraries of the Lackawanna Historical Society, the Everhart Museum, and the Lackawanna County Law Library without paying an additional membership fee. Access is on a reference-only basis (materials do not circulate) during regularly-scheduled hours.
