Scranton's 2025 Kite Flying Festival

The Scranton Kite Flying Festival is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2025. The event will take place at McDade Park, located at 1 Bald Mountain Road, Scranton, PA 18507. Backwards Broadway

This special event joint production is brought to you

Paige Balitski and Katie VonBergen.

Musical direction is by Max Roche with choreography by Mollie Boyd.

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday shows are at 7 PM.
The Sunday matinee is at 2 PM.

Scranton Wellness Fair

Rising Tide Wellness will host the Scranton Wellness Fair from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Lackawanna County Courthouse Courtyard, located in the heart of downtown Scranton. This free, community-centered event will bring together more than 25 healthcare vendors and service providers to offer direct, no-cost services and resources to residents of Scranton and surrounding areas.

Music in the Park / Covington Township

North Pocono Cultural Society presents a 4-part Music in the Park concert series, featuring musicians from the North Pocono area. Each concert will host student musicians from the Musical Dreams Studio as the opening act (@5pm), along with a professional band/duo (@6pm). Each concert will also feature a local food truck and dessert truck. This concert is FREE and family-friendly. Feel free to bring your own picnic (no alcohol permitted), and don’t forget your blanket or chair! Concerts are rain or shine, moving indoors in the event of inclement weather.
